Rail City Nutrition Center

We’ve permanently closed our doors.

On August 3, 2021, Rail City Nutrition Center opened its doors. We were excited to bring shakes, smoothies, fitness supplements, and homestyle macro-based meals to St. Albans.

Within weeks it became clear that the need was not the beverages and meal supplements, but the meals themselves… and within 2 months we outgrew our space.

Todd has cooked 260+ meals per week with a small griddle, a rice cooker and vegetable steamer. We could only store a limited amount of food because we only had space for one commercial fridge and a small freezer.

We’ve been looking for a space to expand, but unfortunately have been unable to find a turnkey option and are not ready to take on the risk of outfitting one ourselves. With the Everyone Eats program coming to a close, we were unsure of our future and how to grow in our limited space.

Although we have loved the experience and it has been successful, we need to do what feels right for our family. A great company reached out to Todd and offered him a position that was impossible to turn down. So though it wasn’t on our radar, the stars aligned just when we needed them too! We’ll have health benefits, which is something we haven’t had being self-employed.

We want to say thank you to all of those that have supported us. We apologize to our meal subscribers for having to cook your own meals again! If there is anything we can do to help support you during this transition, please let us know.

Kim will be able to work from home again, though she will miss all of the interaction with our customers.
